Malte Lüdemann

Malte Lüdemann is a Hamburg-based photographic artist whose expressive abstract water photographs inspire with fascinating dynamics, silky light trails, and maritime elegance. Using long exposures and targeted camera movements, he creates flowing visual worlds along the Elbe, dissolving fleeting moments and transforming the power of the tides into pure visual poetry – driven by his artistic exploration of reality and abstraction, control and chance, and transience and permanence.

  • Artistic Style & Technique: Masterful long exposures and intentional camera movements; flowing dissolution of Elbe waves into painterly, almost textile light trails with conscious, puristic accentuation of natural color reflections.
  • Inspiration & Philosophy: Fascination with Hamburg's Elbe and its tides; transformation of a fleeting, unrepeatable natural moment into an independent, timeless photographic form.
  • Works & Formats: Exclusive Fine Art Editions, strictly limited worldwide to 30 copies (incl. numbered and hand-signed certificate of authenticity); available as a matte gallery print on Alu-Dibond or under high-gloss acrylic glass (90 x 60 cm & 120 x 80 cm) with pre-mounted aluminum hanging profile.
