A minute after Sunset – Photo Art by Malte Lüdemann

Strictly limited fine art photography (15 copies) | Choice of matte aluminum dibond or glossy acrylic glass | Incl. certificate of authenticity

Discover a fascinating work of contemporary photo art by Hamburg-based photographer Malte Lüdemann with “A minute after Sunset.” Captured in Hamburg, this shot captures the wave movements of the Elbe immediately after sunset – a meditative dialogue between flowing movement, soft light, and minimalist aesthetics.

The Artwork:

For this piece, Malte Lüdemann found his motif directly on the Hamburg Elbe. Through masterful long-exposure, he dissolves the firm contours of the Elbe water and transforms the natural river wave into a silky-smooth, almost sculptural wave of pure light. The gentle, horizontal sweeping motions create a calming dynamic reminiscent of flowing silk. Carried by warm, atmospheric color nuances – from velvety rose gold, copper, and warm amber to deep, shadowy violet and brown tones – the work captures the fleeting afterglow of the Hamburg evening sky. A minimalist composition of timeless elegance and visual depth.
