About the artwork

"Transparent Green Ocean" is a captivating representational-abstract acrylic painting that takes the viewer on a journey into the mysterious transparency of the ocean. The work presents a homogeneous, green, and ornamented color space, which, upon closer inspection, reveals itself to be a vibrant space with numerous glazes and patterns.

With this extraordinary ocean painting, Marion Schmidtke has created a meditative atmosphere that captivates the viewer and draws them into the water. The painting's large scale amplifies this effect. Feeling the water's surface reveals a space filled with subtle details. The reduction to the only suggested life form intensifies the illusion of water and expands the scope for interpretation: What is visible and what is invisible?

"Listen in the silence to living forms, to their rhythmic and musical nature – for things have their own specific sound, and this is the message that shines through in all my works." – Marion Schmidtke

Perfect for your home

With its generous dimensions of 120 x 160 cm in landscape format, "Transparent Green Ocean" is an impressive eye-catcher for living rooms, offices, medical practices, or hotel lobbies. The calming green tones and the meditative depiction create an atmosphere of tranquility and bring maritime elegance to any room – ideal for lovers of ocean scenes, marine art, and abstract nature painting.
