Butterfly

Butterfly – Oil Painting by Björn Kirste

Oil on Canvas | 20 x 20 cm | Original / Unique Piece | 2026

Discover "Butterfly," a small artwork by artist Björn Kirste with extraordinary, dramatic depth. Masterful chiaroscuro painting – a peacock butterfly in a spotlight with almost magical vibrancy.

The Artwork:

The visual highlight is the sharply defined, diagonal cone of light that breaks through a dark, mystically structured environment like a spotlight, illuminating the central motif. Within this beam of light, a precisely rendered peacock butterfly rests on a geometric edge. The fine texture of the wings and the characteristic eyespots are masterfully captured. The left wing casts a deep, three-dimensional shadow onto the light blue surface. Directly beside it, two water droplets gleam like liquid amber in the light, casting photorealistic reflections onto the golden-beige background.
