About the artwork

"Pink Pond" is a captivating representational-abstract acrylic painting that depicts a colorful pond in all its splendor. The work is a shimmering interplay of light, patterns, and colors that transports the viewer to a dreamlike aquatic world – between reality and abstraction, between nature and emotion.

Marion Schmidtke painted this large-format pond scene over a long period, constantly adding new layers. Her desire to move beyond mere representation leads to a more abstract language that directly reveals emotions – both aesthetic and spiritual. The pink tones and shimmering light reflections lend the work a special magic and depth.

"Listen in the silence to living forms, to their rhythmic and musical nature – for things have their own specific sound, and this is the message that shines through in all my works." – Marion Schmidtke

Perfect for your home

With its generous square format of 160 x 160 cm, "Pink Pond" is an impressive eye-catcher for spacious living rooms, offices, medical practices, or hotel lobbies. The vibrant pink hues and shimmering interplay of light create a meditative atmosphere and bring artistic elegance to any room – ideal for lovers of nature scenes, water features, and abstract art.
