The Artwork:

"Brisbane" shows the Ferris wheel in the Australian city of Brisbane in a special negative representation. The negative technique reverses colors and brightness—what was light becomes dark, what was dark becomes light. This reversal creates a surreal, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The Meaning: Negative Representation

Negative representation is a fascinating artistic technique. It reverses colors and brightness—what was light becomes dark, what was dark becomes light. This reversal creates a surreal, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The familiar becomes strange, the known becomes new. The Ferris wheel in Brisbane—normally a cheerful symbol of amusement and leisure—is transformed into something mysterious and fascinating by the negative representation. "Brisbane" invites viewers to see the city from a new perspective and enjoy the artistic transformation.
