Elena Grumann

Vita & Artist Portrait

Contemporary abstract painting full of vital energy, color & transformation

Elena Grumann has been painting her entire life. Her artistic journey is characterized by a deep connection to the human psyche, emotional resilience, and the transformative power of art: After many years as a self-employed relaxation pedagogue and stress management trainer, as well as a children's book author, she discovered free painting following a serious illness. What began as a personal turning point unfolded into a passionate, powerful artistic calling.

"My abstract artworks reflect my inner life: colorful, dynamic, full of energy and constant movement. I want to inspire people to pause, be grateful, and embrace life with all its changes as a precious gift."

Artistic Career & Philosophy:

Creative expression has always played a central role in Elena Grumann's work. Whether leading art projects, collaborating closely with illustrators on her successful children's books "Puffel is allowed to make mistakes" and "Puffel and Pauline conquer their fears," or in her pedagogical practice – the conscious use of colors and shapes for emotional development always formed the foundation. Her profound work received early attention in high-reach media formats such as RTL, daily newspapers, and expert interviews.

In her current abstract paintings, Grumann processes the essence of this knowledge. Her works are visual mood boosters and sources of strength: With impasto spatula strokes, multi-layered color glazes, spray techniques, flowing drip paintings, and elegant embellishments (such as real 24-karat gold leaf), she creates multidimensional pictorial worlds. The dynamic color gradients visualize life as a constant flow of becoming – full of optimism, courage, and vital joy of life.
